The moment football lovers have been waiting for is finally here! The Premier League Trophy is coming to Kuala Lumpur this August! Guinness Malaysia is giving fans the rare chance to step out from behind the screen and into the spotlight with a celebration like no other at Pavilion KL from 22–24 August 2025.
A Chance for Football Fans to Shine

The highlight kicks off on Friday, 22 August, when Guinness will assemble a Guard of Honour to welcome the Trophy’s grand arrival. This time, it won’t be players or legends taking centre stage, but it will be the 100 passionate fans leading the charge. As said by the Marketing Manager at Guinness Malaysia,
“In our second year as a Premier League sponsor, we’re honoured to bring a piece of that magic to those who usually cheer from behind a screen. Football has a unique way of creating connections between friends, families, strangers at the bar, and even fans of rival clubs. Some follow the game, others follow the people who love it. Recruiting 100 Guards of Honour is our tribute to all of them.”
Joyce Lim, Marketing Manager at Guinness Malaysia
What is a Guard of Honour?

The Guard of Honor is a beloved football tradition that is a symbolic welcome reserved for legends of the game. However, this time, the honour belongs to the fans. Selected participants will put on their club jerseys along with exclusive Guinness gear, lining the entrance to create a stunning show of unity as the Trophy arrives in style.
Selected Guards of Honour will enjoy perks any fan would dream of:
- An exclusive Guinness scarf and cap to wear during the ceremony
- A chance to be among the first to snap a photo with the Premier League Trophy
- A complimentary Guinness Draught in a Can, while stocks last*
Becoming a Guard of Honour
Do you think that you and your football buddy are entitled to join the honour? Here’s how:
- Visit @GuinnessMY on Instagram and find the recruitment post.
- Comment on why you and your friend are the ultimate fans.
- Tag your football buddy and include #LovelyDayForAGuinness.
Fifty winners will be selected, each with their nominated friend, to form the 100-strong Guinness Guard of Honour. Entries close at 12:00 PM (MYT) on 17 August 2025, so don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of football history!
Trophy Viewing for All Fans
Couldn’t make the Guard of Honour? Fret not! On 23–24 August, fans can visit Pavilion KL to see the Trophy up close, capture photos, and even star in a cinematic slow-motion video moment. Those who show up in their Premier League jerseys can also redeem a pint of Guinness Draught or a can at Arthur’s Storehouse, while stocks last*.
