We all know that the weather in Malaysia is forever HOT, but the weather recently has proven otherwise. As the Southwest monsoon rainy season hits Malaysia, it has been cold and chilly for Malaysians living in Kuala Lumpur since last week.
Temperatures drop to 23°C
Surprisingly the temperatures went as low as 23°C in Kuala Lumpur on 19 August. According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, Malaysian will have to bear with this cold and rainy weather until the middle of September.
This week, the weather forecast shows that Kuala Lumpur will continue to experience cold weather with the temperatures drop as low as 24°C even when there is no rain. Isolated thunderstorms and isolated rain are expected to occur in the afternoon, except on Thursday and Friday.
So, don’t forget your umbrella when you go out.
The change of weather is however welcomed by many Malaysians.
Despite the twist from the usual weather, nobody is complaining! Malaysians are sharing about how much they like the weather on social media. This is perhaps because everyone had enough of the heaty weather.
With weather like in Cameron Highland, a Twitter user shares that it feels like there are air conditioners working for Malaysia.
How do you feel about the chilly weather? Are you coping well?
Stay warm and safe everyone.
