AGIBOT’s Malaysia Launch Signals A Bigger Asia-Pacific Play

AGIBOT, a global leader in embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics, officially launched its Asia-Pacific journey in Malaysia on 13 January 2026. Held at i-City, Selangor, the event gathered senior government leaders, industry partners and media, reinforcing Malaysia’s growing position as a regional AI and robotics hub.

The launch marks the beginning of a broader series of strategic initiatives AGIBOT plans to roll out across the Asia-Pacific region throughout 2026, with Malaysia as its first anchor market.

Why AGIBOT Stands Out

Founded in 2023, AGIBOT was built with one bold ambition: to develop robots for the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) era. Unlike single-purpose machines, its humanoid robots are designed to learn, adapt and evolve in real-world environments.

That vision has translated into scale. In 2025, AGIBOT rolled out its 5,168th mass-produced humanoid robot and was ranked No.1 globally in humanoid robot shipments and market share by Omdia, capturing 39% of the global market.

Inside Malaysia’s First AI & Robotics Experience Centre

The launch event also marked the grand opening of AI World, Malaysia’s first AI & Robotics Experience Centre. Developed in partnership with I-Berhad, the centre brings AGIBOT’s robots into real-life urban settings, spanning hospitality, tourism, property management and daily city operations within i-City.

More than a showcase, AI World acts as a living testbed where robotics, wellness, productivity and smart-city concepts converge, offering visitors a glimpse into how embodied AI can enhance everyday life.
