As the sun sets and the call to Iftar draws near, the familiar dilemma returns: brave the bazaar crowd or risk missing out on your favourite Ramadan treats. This year, Malaysians get the best of both worlds. The iconic Ramadan Bazaar in Putrajaya has officially gone digital!
From 19 February to 20 March 2026, the vibrant energy of Presint 3’s Ramadan Bazaar is now available on the foodpanda app, redefining how Malaysians experience one of Ramadan’s most cherished traditions.
Bringing The Ramadan Bazaar In Putrajaya To Your Phone
In collaboration with Perbadanan Putrajaya, foodpanda Malaysia has launched a pilot programme that brings more than 200 bazaar stalls online. Accessible through a dedicated “Ramadan Bazaar” tile, users can browse and order classic Iftar favourites without leaving home.
From fragrant nasi lemak and nasi dagang to crispy fried chicken and colourful kuih-muih, the flavours that define Ramadan evenings in Putrajaya are now delivered straight to doorsteps nationwide.
A Modern Twist On A Timeless Ramadan Tradition
While the hustle of the bazaar remains part of its charm, this digital extension offers a practical solution for busy professionals, parents, and anyone juggling packed Ramadan schedules. The initiative preserves the communal spirit of Iftar while adding modern convenience, allowing families to spend less time queuing and more time together.
According to foodpanda Malaysia’s Director of Marketing, Steff Yong, the goal is simple: deliver not just food, but the full Ramadan experience. And this done while helping vendors reach more customers beyond physical foot traffic.
How foodpanda Ensures Freshness From Stall To Door
To keep the experience authentic, foodpanda has introduced on-site “Pickers” who purchase orders directly from bazaar stalls upon confirmation. This ensures dishes are freshly prepared and delivered within 40 to 50 minutes, mirroring the experience of buying straight from the vendor.
The model also creates additional income opportunities for local stall operators and delivery partners, reinforcing foodpanda’s ongoing support for small businesses during the festive season.
