The Thai team fought back in the second set, attempting to push the match to a deciding set. However, the Malaysian trio’s excellence shone through as they clinched a 15-12 victory, closing the match and securing the championship.

This victory is especially significant as it marks Malaysia’s first win over Thailand in sepak takraw since the 2015 ISTAF Super Series in Melaka. The double gold medals in both the doubles and triple events signify a new era of success for Malaysian sepak takraw on the world stage.
