Representing Malaysia at JCI TOYP Award
The honourees of JCI TOYM Awards 2022 will have the opportunity to represent Malaysia to vie for JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons Of The World (TOYP) together with other honourees from over 100 countries from the world.
Honourees of the JCI TOYP will be awarded at the Oscar-like award ceremony held as the highlight of the Junior Chamber International’s Annual World Congress.
Objectives of JCI TOYM
The TOYM Programme originated from JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) Programme, which was developed by Durwood Howes (Jaycees President, USA) in 1930 and adopted by JCI in 1982.
Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCIM) made the decision to include this Programme in its yearly project after launching it in 1985 to commemorate the International Year of the Youth.
The two main objectives of TOYM is to recognise young Malaysians who have demonstrated exceptional achievement through their profession, making significant contributions to the welfare of the community, thereby inspiring other young Malaysians to strive for even greater heights of achievement in the spirit of selfless service to the community’s continued development.
